A welcome change on the menu

Ordering maggots for your non-vegan rodent may sound strange at first. After all, you usually think of them as being mealworms but this is not the case. Maggots are the caterpillars of flies and have a similar high protein content as mealworms. They are slightly different in taste, so they are a welcome change in your little pet's diet.

Healthy nutrition like in nature

For some rodents, a balanced protein diet is vital. Especially when rearing, they need a rich supply. In nature, many mouse and hamster species hunt insects or even eat meat from other rodents. If this component is missing from a balanced diet, it can lead to deficiency symptoms or cannibalism in their own young. Since the protein balance cannot only be covered with vegetable protein, gently dried insects are an important protein supplier.

The maggots are supplied in a resealable bag from which small quantities can be taken, e.g. as a treat.
