A versatile supplementary feed

Grasshoppers, grasshoppers, cr ickets and crickets - there are various names that could be given to this supplementary feed, but most of them are incorrect. In fact, all four varieties are different breeds.

Only the grasshoppers and grasshoppers are suitable as supplementary food for non-vegan rodents. They are among the few sources of protein that can be offered in both dried and live form. This allows them to act out their hunting instinct and they do well chasing the small insects. However, this is an activity that not all animals are interested in. It all depends on the personality. Only if your little darling does not accept the dried variety does it make sense to think about live feeding. And if you don't want that, it's best to take a look at our animal protein for rodents, there are many good alternatives.

A healthy diet like in nature

For some rodents, a balanced protein diet is vital. Especially when rearing, they need a rich supply. In nature, many mouse and hamster species hunt insects or even eat meat from other rodents. If this component is missing from a balanced diet, it can lead to deficiency symptoms or cannibalism in their own young. Since the protein balance cannot be covered with vegetable protein alone, gently dried insects are an important protein supplier.
