On the trail of nature

For our Getzoo vegetable garden, we have taken our cue from nature's extensive menu: Many leaves, plant parts, wild herbs, blossoms, fruits and vegetables that we also find in our local farm gardens and meadows for fresh feed have been combined in our Getzoo Vegetable Garden to create a varied mix.

With nature as a model

Rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus are herbivores. They feed mainly on plant parts, i.e. grasses, leaves, plant stems, flowers and roots, as well as a smaller proportion of fruits and seeds.

Gives energy & strength

The Getzoo Vegetable Garden contains many valuable ingredients from our local hobby and farm gardens such as leaves, flowers, fruits and vegetables. Strawberry leaves, green oats, dandelion, orange tree leaves, ribwort plantain, birch leaves, sunflower petals, coriander, dill and echinacea form a varied basis of plant life. The Getzoo vegetable garden is rounded off by vitamin-rich energy suppliers such as carrots, beetroot, green peppers, tomato, courgette, apple and peas.

The Getzoo vegetable garden is optimally suited for animals that need additional power or are to be spoiled with delicacies all around. It is especially recommended for animals that are kept outside all year round.
