GETZOO RODENT APARTMENT

A cosy home for golden hamsters, gerbils, degus, spiny mice and many more.

With a base area of 29 x 25 cm and a height of 13 cm, the rodent parment offers enough space for your favourite rodent. It offers a spacious three-chamber system in which your rodent can choose its own sleeping place or storage chamber - just like in a natural hamster burrow. The rodent parment is made of untreated birch wood. The removable roof allows for trouble-free nest control. Your rodent can access the upper level from the outside via a ramp. This can be used to set up a sand bath or a drinking trough. Thanks to the sturdy plug-in system, we were able to completely dispense with the use of glue and nails in the manufacture of the rodent parment.

Why several chambers?

In nature, rodents such as hamsters and mice build several storage chambers in underground burrows. Should one chamber be plundered by other small animals, the other chambers remain as reserves. The housing is also used for grooming or as a place to sleep. With the Getzoo Rodent Apartment, small rodents can follow their natural instinct.

Why a removable roof?

Most small rodents carry food supplies such as fruit into their dens. This food can spoil and must be removed. With a removable roof this is done quickly and the small rodent is not disturbed as you do not have to lift the whole house. In addition, the nest can be controlled without disturbance, should there ever be offspring.
