Why several chambers?

In nature, rodents such as hamsters and mice build several storage chambers in underground structures. If one chamber is plundered by other small animals, the other chambers remain as reserves. The dwelling is also used for grooming or as a place to sleep. With the Getzoo living maze, small rodents can follow their natural instinct.

Why a removable roof?

Most small rodents carry food supplies such as fruit into their dens. This food can spoil and must be removed. With a removable roof this is done quickly and the small rodent is not disturbed as you do not have to lift the whole house. In addition, the nest can be controlled without disturbance, should there ever be offspring.
