Cork inserts for cork wheels

These cork inserts have been specially developed for our cork wheels. The cork ins erts are glued to a food-safe and unbreakable plastic strip to make it easier to replace them. The cork strip must therefore not be removed from the plastic strip!

You can simply remove it, scrub it with a toothbrush and warm water and then put it back in the wheel. Alternatively, this insert can also be integrated into other impellers of the same size (change between wooden and cork impeller).

This also makes it much easier to replace the cork insert if a new one is needed.

What are the advantages of the cork insert for the cork impeller?

Cleaning becomes an important issue especially when it has to be done more often than usual. If there is an infestation of mites, for example, it should be rinsed daily. This is a strain that lasts several weeks, and a wheel made of wood would become so brittle in the process that a risk of injury can no longer be ruled out.

But even if the old cork no longer looks nice, the cork insert can simply be replaced and the wheel will look like new again!

Note: The cork inlay has been specially developed for the cork wheels, for the wooden wheels you may have to shorten the cork inlay a little (because of the clear coat). The cork strips are not compatible with each other, you cannot mix the plastic and wooden wheel strips or use them in any other way. Wood always works, so the cork inserts for the wooden wheels may need to be adjusted manually and are therefore slightly wider than the plastic wheel.
