With this hay we make our contribution to an intact insect world, because our meadows are not mown before 15 June. Why?

Because by then the colourful wildflowers, grasses and herbs are in full bloom and the insects and bees can help themselves to this fragrant natural buffet. Only then do we harvest our natural meadow hay, which is particularly rich in crude fibre and contains many herbs due to its long growth period. The less intense green colour of the hay is due to the high crude fibre content, which is important for all dwarf rabbits and rodents for tooth abrasion and healthy digestion. This is in no way a sign of poor quality.

In contrast to the expanding monocultures, we thus create new and natural habitat for all insects and bees and thus protect the biodiversity in our homeland. The rich food supply from this unique habitat also provides bumblebees, butterflies and their friends with pollen and vital nectar.

In our house, the sun-dried hay is gently packed by hand into the natural box, which for reasons of sustainability consists of 23% grass. Our JR FARM bee-friendly hay is packed 100% plastic-free and the grass carton is stamped with natural colour. The pre-punched holes can easily be cut out and the cardboard can be used directly as a hay rack or as a playhouse, which can also be nibbled on without hesitation.

Feeding recommendation: In addition to sufficient hay, fresh water must always be available.
