Reliably prevents the wheel from sinking into the litter.

Setting up an enclosure for small rodents should always be well thought out. Not only which furnishings are offered, but also how they are placed is important so that they cannot become a danger for the animal. For example, a heavy sand bath directly on the litter can quickly sink when dug under and bury the animal! Therefore, all heavy objects must be secured by positioning them on a stable level. Levels also provide the opportunity to place bowls and drinkers and even our running wheels without them being buried in the litter.

High seat for your sand bath

The sand bath, which is essential for hamsters and important for degus and mice, should always be stable and if the rodent decides to dig under the sand bath, it should not be able to sink. This way you can prevent the sand bath for hamsters and co. from crushing the small animal. Depending on their size, the sand baths can be quite heavy and should therefore be placed on a suitably large level. Top Etage, unter der viel Streu passt.

Tolle Etage, auch, wenn sie bei uns rechts steht. Das hatte besser mit dem Futterhaus gepasst. Aber es ist ja auch egal wo das Brandzeichen ist. Die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig, für mich gibt es nichts daran auszusetzen.
Wenn ich an Getzoo einen Wunsch äußern dürfte, dann würde ich mir eine Etage wünschen, auf die ich das Sandbad stellen auch rund und um die 10-12cm hoch), damit man unter dem Sandbad und der Etage auch noch viel Streu zum Tunnel graben machen kann. So würde noch mehr Streumöglichkeit geschaffen werden.

Gut mit Einschränkungen

Die Etage selbst ist gut verarbeitet, die Ränder sind abgeschliffen, sodass sich die Fellnase an Splittern o.ä. nicht verletzen kann. Die Aussparungen für die Standfüße sind aber leider unsauber ausgesägt und die Füße selbst mit großer Mühe kaum da hinein steckbar. Da ist also manchmal etwas Nachbearbeitung notwendig.
Dann aber hat man eine schöne Etage.
